Don’t forget your camera! It's best to leave each morning as soon as the fog burns off. Views are spectacular, to say the least.
These rides encompass some of the most beautiful water falls and scenic views the Smoky Mountains have to offer. The roads run from mild (The Blue Ridge Parkway) to wild (US 129 “The Tail of the Dragon”). After your ride, you should take time to visit some of the local craft and gift shops, take in some of the Native American culture or try your luck at Harrah’s Casino. The temperature in the mountains can drop 5 degrees for every 1000 feet of elevation and you will be reaching elevations of up to 6000 feet at times, so bring clothing that can be layered to adjust to the changing temperatures.
